How do I get a Library Card?

We ask that you apply in person for a Shelter Island Library card.

Residents of Shelter Island (with proof of local address) and renters (with a copy of their year-round lease) are eligible for a library card.

Guest cards are available for guests of patrons with a valid library card. These cards automatically expire one year after the date of issuance.

Note: Temporary cards expire after 30 days. You must complete your registration in person in the Library for full borrowing privileges.
