Linda Kofmehl

Linda Kofmehl joined the Board Trustees in 2009 after having served a year as the ad-hoc community member on its Building Committee and now chairs the Board’s Development Committee. Her commitment to the Library is rooted in her interest in “seeing the Library progress and continue to fulfill the important role it plays as a community center.” A member of the Shelter Island Educational Foundation’s Board for a number of years, she is a Trustee Emerita of its Foundation. Linda’s 20-year career as a private banker with Merrill Lynch International was in ML’s Paris office and then the New York office of the company. A Shelter Island homeowner for 30 years, she now lives here full-time for half of the year and spends the other half in Klosters, Switzerland, which nicely accommodates her enthusiasm for travel, sailing, biking and cross-country skiing.
